EDC’s capacity to help Canadian entrepreneurs expanded in mid-March with the launch of the $10-billion federal Business Credit Availability Program (BCAP). This program allows EDC to offer Canadian businesses of all sizes the credit they need during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are working in concert with the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) and private sector lenders to ensure Canadian companies get support during these uncertain times.
Working capital loans of up to $2 million with flexible repayment terms such as principal postponements for qualifying businesses plus Reduced rates on new eligible loans and Flexible repayment terms, such as postponement of principal payments for up to 6 months, for existing BDC clients with total BDC loan commitment of $1 million or less
Additional loans of up to $500.000 plus deferral of principal and interest payments to ensure producers, agribusinesses, and food processors have access to the cash flow they need to manage through this challenging time
Financial assistance in form of loans up to $40,000 loans with zero interest for first year for Canadian businesses affected by COVID-19 disease. Part of Canada Emergency Business Account program. Loans available through primary financial institution.
